Jim Sanford & Andy Graham
Jim is a 54-year-old equestrian manager. Andy is a 16-year-old Ford enthusiast. The two are an unlikely duo.
But through a mentorship collaboration made possible by United Way, they have forged an unbreakable bond.
Andy's grandmother was concerned that the teenager did not have a positive male role model in his life, so she called United Way community partner Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
For a few hours a week, Jim takes Andy to fish, hike, and have fun. Jim has even gotten Andy involved with volunteering.
But most importantly, they have formed a friendship to last a lifetime.
Through United Way's support, the hours Jim and Andy spend together will add up to a positive future for Andy . . . and for Blount County.
